Talent@Grassroots is an online marketplace that connects businesses worldwide with pre-skilled and pre-screened individuals for online internships. The service aims to support ESG goals by facilitating global collaboration between individuals with digital skills and businesses, providing cost-effective remote workforce solutions for Startups and SMEs to enhance their business operations.
1.1 Monthly Subscription Fee: Businesses will be charged a monthly subscription fee by Grassroots to engage an intern for up to 100 hours of online work on a pro bono basis. This fee grants businesses the following privileges:
Creation of a business profile to attract pre-screened and pre-skilled talent.
Provision of replacement interns for any backfills or drop-outs.
1.2 Refund Policy: Business clients can claim a refund for the initial monthly fee subscription paid to Grassroots for the Talent@Grassroots service within the first 30 days, under the money-back guarantee offer.
1.3 Company Information Display: To have their company information and logo displayed on the Talent@Grassroots website for interested interns to apply, business clients must pay a monthly subscription fee to Grassroots.
1.4 Intern Limit: A maximum of two interns can be engaged concurrently by a business for online internships. If a business requires more than two interns, they must submit a special request to Grassroots.
1.5 Work Experience Certificate: At the end of the 100 hours of pro bono work done by the intern, Grassroots will issue a digital work experience certificate to the individual on behalf of the client.
1.6 Intern Performance Rating: Business clients are encouraged to rate the intern's work performance to ensure high-quality work. Past performance ratings may be considered by other businesses when deciding whether to offer an online internship to the individual.
1.7 Intern Replacement: The client has the option to terminate the intern's work at any point during the initial 100 hours of pro bono work and request a replacement intern with similar digital skills from Grassroots.
1.8 Paid Engagement: If the business wishes to continue engaging the services of the intern after the initial 100 hours of pro bono work, they will need to negotiate and agree upon the payment amount directly with the intern.
2.1 Digital Skills Assessment: Candidates must possess the required digital skills for online internships and demonstrate competence through Grassroots' digital skills online assessments. They may receive digital skills training online from Grassroots or seek training elsewhere if available.
2.2 Refund Policy: There is no refund option for the subscription fee, as it is used by Grassroots to cover the assessment cost and provide access to create an online profile on www.talent.grassrootsedu.com.
2.3 Subscription Fee: Candidates are required to pay a one-time service subscription fee to have their skills assessed and maintain their profile on the Talent@Grassroots online platform. This fee covers the cost of skills assessment and the provision of the candidate's profile on www.talent.grassrootsedu.com
2.4 Online Internship Guarantee: The payment of the subscription fee does not guarantee an online internship. Selection for online internships is based on:
The candidate's successful clearance of the digital skills assessment test by Grassroots.
The discretion of the business client to offer an online internship based on their selection from the available talent pool.
2.5 Payment for Paid Work: For paid work, the business client will directly make the payment to the candidate based on their mutually agreed payment terms or wages.
